Adult Study Opportunities

Sunday Morning
Weekly adult classes include lively discussion of the Bible,
contemporary issues and questions of faith.

Short Term Studies
Periodically our church will offer additional opportunities for adult
study. Approximately 60 church members have participated in DISCIPLE Bible Studies in
recent years.

Adult Fellowship Opportunities |
Methadults
Primarily a fellowship group, these older adults meet monthly for fun and learning,
and also volunteer time toward church projects.

Fun in the Spirit
Periodic activities for singles and couples provide a lighthearted atmosphere for
Christian fellowship.

Banner Group
This creative group meets monthly to make banners for our church. |
Prayer
Shawl Ministry
The 2nd Thursday of each month
from 3:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Our church's Prayer Shawl Ministry meets on the 2nd
Thursday of each month from 3:30 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Newcomers are
always welcome. The group gathers in the Friendship Room to work on
the shawls they are knitting or crocheting, and to enjoy a cup of
tea and one another's company. Led by the Spirit, we identify
persons we will give the shawls to and we spend time praying God's
blessings upon those shawls and upon those who will receive them.
The shawls are then presented to the persons identified to remind
them of the love and warmth and embrace of God and of our church
family. Shawls may be given during a time of illness, following a
death, in celebration of a special occasion or simply to express
gratitude, love or concern.

And wrapped in love.

Co-Rec Softball
  Two
not-overly-competitive coed softball teams for teens and adults, represent our church in
the local church softball league, providing great summer entertainment for players and
fans alike.

Conference Camps and Retreats
The Minnesota Annual Conference sponsors a number of camps and conferences, offering a
chance for people of all ages to enjoy God’s creation and grow in faith. Scholarships
are available. Special events include UMY’s (Sr. High) and JUMY’s (Jr. High)
which are conference-wide youth events, Time out for Moms, Grandparent Camp, and the
Southwest District Family Retreat. |
